Cassina. Red & Blue armchair
Designed by Rietveld in 1918, Red & Blue is a design armchair in the guise of a Rationalist geometric sculpture. A genuine masterpiece of design, among the foremost examples of Neoplasticism promoted by the Dutch De Stijl movement. Rietveld worked on the early prototypes of this high-backed armchair interpreting the philosophy of spatial organization through the use of flat surfaces and monochrome spaces that intersect.
