The design table with rectangular top reflects the re-design of a Rationalist model created by Marcel Breuer in the 1930s. Subsequently, in 2009, Tobia Scarpa proposed the new glass topped table thus offering a valuable aesthetic solution that magnified the sculptural elegance of the shapes, allowing the refined brass supports and the fluting in the marble bases to be seen.
