Alcarol Maple Reef 餐桌

Maple Reef 桌子由有機材料楓樹節木製成。樹節是木紋以變形方式生長的木材。
當樹木承受一定壓力時，通常會在被真菌或昆蟲侵擾的區域內生長。 樹木的生長激素被破壞，因此會產生那些五顏六色的腫塊和漩渦。
Alcarol 從意大利多洛米蒂山脈的灌木叢中回收了一些有瘤的原木，並切割了木板，保留了天然樹皮表面和活邊緣，並包裹在一種類似於產生它們生命的水的特殊樹脂中。

Alcarol Maple Reef table

Maple Reef table is made of the organic material the Maple burl wood. The burl is the wood in which the grain has grown in a deformed manner.
A burl usually grows when the tree is undergoing some stress, in an area that’s been mistreated by fungus or infestations of insects. The tree’s growth hormones are disrupted and, consequently, it produces those colorful looking lumps and swirls.
Alcarol recovered some burled logs from the undergrowth of the Italian Dolomite mountains and cut planks preserving the natural bark surface and live edges encased in a special resin resembling the water that generated their life.
