Alcarol Chiron coffee table

The tabletop of the Chiron coffee table is made of two Burled Poplar wood planks with live edges, encased and joined in a transparent resin, two organic shapes that extend without touching, supported by three irregular transparent pillars that pierce and support them in an apparently inexplicable way. The Burled Poplar is the wood in which the grain has grown in a deformed manner, but it is absolutely natural, however unusual. The human eye knows it when it sees it in the dashboards of luxury cars, but generally does not know the full external appearance of this rare wood with its amazing live edges.
The wood has been thoroughly impregnated with a special verdigris and oil process that brings out these extraordinary holographic grain, making it appear even more extraterrestrial. So, it is not a space table, it is a terrestrial table which also represents the earthly Eden in which we can still live. An impulse to study and learn about our planet, transcending the ordinary perception.
