Cassina Indochine 椅子

永恆的 Indochine 椅子於 1943 年由 Charlotte Perriand 設計，是對同一作者設計的 Fauteuil tournant 現代管狀金屬椅子的木材詮釋。 這把椅子是在越南設計的，利用了戰爭期間可以找到的材料和工匠技術。 “有什麼能比觸摸拋光的杉木桌面更甜蜜，它像女人的腿一樣光滑？”Charlotte Perriand 評論說，她經常根據可用的材料和生產地點調整她的設計。 Cassina 對旋轉扶手椅進行了重新詮釋，同時保持了最初的設計，採用精緻的實木結構，公司卓越的手工工藝和對每個細木工細節的關注顯而易見。

Cassina Indochine chair

Designed in 1943 by Charlotte Perriand, the timeless Indochine chair is the interpretation in wood of the Fauteuil tournant modern chair in tubular metal designed by the same author. The chair was designed in Vietnam, making use of the materials and artisan techniques that could be found during the war. “What could be sweeter than to touch a polished fir table top, smooth as a woman’s legs?”, remarked Charlotte Perriand, who often adapted her designs to the materials available and to the places of production.  The swivel armchair was reinterpreted by Cassina while staying true to the original design, with exquisite solid wood construction in which the company’s artisanal excellence and attention to every joinery detail are evident.
